You can cancel CalBuddy any time. You'll keep full access until the end of the period you've already paid for — cancelling simply stops the next renewal.
First: where did you subscribe?
CalBuddy can be paid for in two places, and you cancel in the place you paid — this is the one thing that matters.
- Subscribed on the web (a quiz or checkout on calbuddy.app, paid by card) → A) Cancel on your billing page, below.
- Subscribed inside the Android app (you tapped a plan in CalBuddy on your phone and paid through Google Play) → B) Cancel in Google Play, below.
Not sure? If you were charged by Google, it's B. If the charge came from CalBuddy/Stripe and you have a receipt emailed to you, it's A. Still unsure — contact support and we'll tell you which one you are, see How do I contact CalBuddy support?
A) You subscribed on the web
You cancel from your billing page, not your phone's subscription settings. Three ways to get there — all open the same page:
- Self-serve — go to start.calbuddy.app/en/manage-subscription, enter the email you used at purchase, and tap the secure link we email you (valid for 30 minutes — check spam too).
- Ask your coach in the chat (WhatsApp or Telegram) — just say "I want to cancel". Your coach sends you a personal Cancel subscription button.
- In the app — Settings → Manage subscription (shown when your subscription was purchased on the web).
Then on the billing page choose Cancel subscription, optionally tell us why, and confirm. Your subscription is set to end at the close of the current billing period — and if you change your mind before then, the same page has a Keep my subscription button.
There's no cancellation fee, and you can resubscribe later any time.
B) You subscribed inside the app (Google Play)
Google handles the billing, so the cancel button is in Google Play, not in CalBuddy and not on the billing page — the billing page won't find this subscription:
- Open the Google Play Store → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Tap CalBuddy.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the steps.
You can also open it directly at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions, signed in with the same Google account you paid with. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
What happens after you cancel
- You keep access until the end of your current billing period.
- You won't be charged again.
- Your data and plan are kept for a while in case you come back, so you can pick up where you left off. If you'd like your data removed as well, see *How CalBuddy handles your data + how to delete it*.
Want a refund too?
Cancelling stops future charges but isn't the same as a refund. If you'd like a refund for a recent charge, see Can I get a refund?
