CalBuddy only keeps what it needs to coach you, and it works for you alone. Here's the plain-words version; the full detail is in our Privacy Policy at calbuddy.app/privacy.
What CalBuddy stores
- Your profile (the basics you gave during setup) and your plan.
- Your logs — food, water and weight — and your messages with the coach.
- The channel identifier you chat from (your WhatsApp phone number or Telegram account), used only to deliver messages and recognise your subscription.
It uses these only to build your plan, track your progress, and remember you between sessions.
Because CalBuddy runs inside WhatsApp or Telegram, your messages also pass through that platform — Meta (for WhatsApp) or Telegram — under their own terms, like any other chat on those apps.
What CalBuddy does not do
- It doesn't sell your data or use your meals for advertising.
- It serves only you. CalBuddy has no knowledge of any other user, and it will never reveal — or make up — anyone else's plan, weight or details, even if asked.
- Your data is encrypted in transit, and access to it is restricted account-by-account at the database level.
Export or delete your data
- Export: contact support to request a copy of your data — we'll send it to the email linked to your account.
- Delete: contact support to delete your account and data. Deletion removes your profile, logs and chat history from CalBuddy's systems; residual copies (e.g. backups and legally required payment records) are purged on a schedule after that.
